The streets leading to the shimmering Pacific in Ocean Park’s South Beach section offer a window to the early days of coastal development at the turn of the 20th century. Learn how the Santa Fe Railroad, the first beach lot sales and early developers shaped this neighborhood— and see first-hand how the area has transformed over the last 150 years.
The tour will feature the eclectic architectural styles of South Beach, including American Foursquare, Craftsman, Dutch Colonial Revival, Italian Revival, Mission Revival and more. Docents will welcome guests into select residences for a closer look at how these homes retain their historic roots while being updated for modern life.
