Join us from 5-6:15 p.m. for A Cultural Landscape: The Treasured Trees of Pacific Palisades.
The Palisades’ proud horticultural heritage has defined it for decades, largely due to the pastoral influence of its Methodist founders and to visionaries like Abbot Kinney and Will Rogers, who supplemented native oaks and sycamores with suitable species worldwide. The Palisades wildfire impacted some 4400 public trees and thousands more on private land. Yet with a devoted rescue and rehabilitation effort, much of the Palisades’ suburban forest lives on, standing as a source of inspiration for the community’s regrowth.
