Honor our tenth anniversary of opening the Preservation Resource Center
2520 Second Street Santa Monica, CA 90402
Sunday, May 17
2 - 4 p.m.
In 2016, a rare survivor of Santa Monica’s earliest residential homes was saved from imminent demolition, restored, and repurposed to serve as the City's only center for historic preservation.
On Sunday, May 17, from 2 to 4 pm, the Santa Monica Conservancy is throwing a birthday party, and you’re invited!
Join us at 2520 Second Street, right next to the Ocean Park Library, for a free block party celebrating 10 years of the Shotgun House as the Preservation Resource Center.
Here’s what to expect:
• Live Music, Food & Beverages
• Hear from Former Mayor of Santa Monica Ted Winterer & City Officials
• A ‘Dramatic’ Storytelling of Saving the Shotgun House by Board President Mario Fonda-Bonardi
• Special Shotgun House Anniversary Award honoring Attorney Kenneth L. Kutcher
To ensure the Shotgun House continues to thrive well into the future, the Conservancy invites you to become a Birthday Benefactor with a donation of $100, including:
• Your name inscribed on a star affixed to a giant anniversary ‘birthday card’.
• Your name listed as a ‘Birthday Benefactor’ in a special exhibition panel inside the Shotgun House, on view for one year.
• Donations directly contribute to the ongoing maintenance, programming, and free public access of the Shotgun House!
To sign the birthday card, please write your name under the "DETAILS" box. Email [email protected] for questions.
